Present cathedral dates from 1251 however there was a church on the site much earlier. Has an impressive round tower in the churchyard.

Also known as Kilkenny Cathedral, beckons visitors with its dominating view over the city. Constructed circa 1200 but was originally established by the patron saint of Kilkenny in the 6th century.
