A fantastic surprise, with a well curated selection of late XIX and early XX Century art. A must visit when in the Berkshires.

Visit the permanent collection and special exhibitions but make sure to walk around the grounds for other sites. A must do is a visit to the Manton research center

Excellent visitor experience. Beautiful museum in the middle of a park. Highly recommend as the art exposed there is very good as well. Their cafeteria is also recommended.

Amazing art collection, specially impressionist era art. And always have temporally visiting collections.

An excellent collection of European and American artwork, mostly pre-1940s. The buildings are spectacular, if oddly laid out. Look around campus for more modern artists, like Louise Bourgeoise.

If the weather is good, walk up the hill to the Art Conservation center for lunch on the plaza and a great view of Williamstown.

The café menu, created by farm-to-table champion Aimee Olexy, includes house-made sausage with polenta and oven-dried tomato peppers for breakfast, and carrot ginger soup with crème fraîche for lunch.

This is truly one of the most spectacular places in the north east. The building and grounds are incredible. The art can be hit or miss. However, the building and grounds are the real attraction.
