We got the tea + sweets set (¥3,400), which also included a selection of 4 tiny bites — the kuromitsu cracker is 🙋🏻‍♀️. Would come back for the asacha set, which is way more worth it!

It’s a great teahouse. Be sure to reserve their breakfast set, if not you can only order from the sweets menu. I had the best mochi!

I tried to come for breakfast (arrived at 10:15am) and was told you have to make a reservation.

An amazing experience to dine in one of the best designed houses in the whole of japan.

You need to come for lunch and pass a membership interview before they will accept a dinner reservation

Yakumo Saryo is the creation of the Andaz hotel designer Shinichiro Ogata. The teahouse and restaurant are a Zen minimalist’s nirvana, awash in stone, wood, and natural light.
