If you’ve got to kill an hour or two while changing trains, head over to La Farm Bakery - a 3-minute walk - for a coffee and fantastic pastries.

Now Cary is a Amtrak staffed station and you can and should buy your tickets inside before boarding the train, is cheaper... beautiful rebuilt station

Unlike the Durham station, there's free parking for as long as you're on your trip. There's also a bus that connects (with a transfer) to the airport.

Beautiful, clean, spacious new station. Board here & avoid crowd & competition for seats & parking in Raleigh. Cary's parking lot is spacious & safely located across from police station.
