Tours are conducted Oct to May at 11am and 1:30pm on weekends, tour tickets are $5 and sold at the gift shop first-come first-served. 30 people max per tour, tends to sell out on holidays.

The views on the (long, very, very long, and winding) road up are better than the view at the observatory.

This observatory is a world-class center of astronomical research and home to 5 telescopes used nightly for a wide variety of astronomical research programs, and open to the public for daytime visits.

If you come in the winter, be prepared and bring snow chains for your tires.
