Had the Chinese style Kung Pao chicken - very good with a nice hint of ginger. Also tried an eggplant dish which was nice and had a good nutty flavor.

Use the Chinese authentic menu. General Guan's chicken, flounder in fiery soup, mapo tofu, dandan noodles. Until Peter Chang's opens, best Chinese in greater DC.

From Washingtonian: Now called Sichuan Jin River, order off the full Chinese menu. Heat: steamed buns with chicken and garlicky cucumbers are musts. Flounder and vegetables in fiery soup is HOT.

Now called Sichuan Jin River! Wu geng chang wang (pig intestine and blood) was decent, but I found yu xiang qie zi (eggplant with garlic sauce?) to be a bit on the watery side

You're at the best Chinese restaurant in the DC area...why would you order standard Chinese-American fare? Order off the authentic menu and enjoy the opportunity to eat some amazing food.
