Take the dog for a walk in an off leash area that allows you to enjoy some quiet park space along Edmonton's River Valley in the middle of the city.

Lovely place to walk in any season - on chilly days I like to stop at Second Cup in Meadowlark first and get something to keep me warm. Ice cream works when it's warm, but then the dog wants to share.
