Good place for a picnic. There's a bandstand by the statue of Sir Titus Salt which is still used. Coffee shop in the centre has nice views of Salts Mill.

Sit in the recently renovated play park and watch the fantastic waterfall on the river.

Newly renovated, the park and large playground / skateboarding area is fantastic for families. Cricket is played at weekends, and during the summer there is also live music in the band stand.

Stick to the main path after dark. It's not dangerous, but the local chavs can be bothersome
