Too bad AC Siena have gone from relegation to relegation to bankruptcy. Still, it’s one one of the greatest locations for a football stadium ever: in the old town, next to the Fortezza Medicea.

Unusual stadium at a terrific location in the center of Siena. Often the gates are left open during summer, so easy to take a look inside.

È facile arrivare allo stadio considerando che è in centro di fronte alla chiesa di San Domenico (dov'è la reliquia di Santa Caterina). È però scoperto.

Stadio Artemio Franchi (MontePaschi Arena) is a multi-purpose stadium in Siena. It is currently used mostly for football matches and the home of Siena. The stadium was built in 1923 and holds 15,373.
