Ticket machine never seems to work. Tickets office open very rarely. Possibly the single most useless train station in the North of England.

Get a paper or a coffee before you get here as there is no where close by to walk to for either

Has a ticket machine now but it only accepts exact change or a card. Even if you have one of those, don't expect this machine to work.

Taxi Company based at station only open the office for 2 hours in the morning and their email address doesn't get through. So good luck getting in touch with the base if you leave anything in a taxi!

they've finally installed a ticket machine...so Morpeth station is now in the correct century.
